Rosqvist delivers in spades with this long awaited guitar masterpiece. Look for an interview with the very talented Stefan Rosqvist in the next couple of weeks. Buy the cd online

Guitar9 says:

Reuniting with respected Swedish session guitarist, Bo Eriksson (Ominox), Stefan Rosqvist has moulded an incredible CD full of some of the most haunting, powerful, joyous and heartbreaking instrumental melodies you're likely to hear in quite some time. In collaboration with the aforementioned Eriksson - not to mention a plethora of players such as Christofer Malmstrom (Darkane), Chris Schleyer (Nine Inch Nails), Phi Yaan-Zek and Lalle Larson (Ominox/Electrocution 250) - The Guitar Diaries is going to turn heads for sure. If you've become jaded by all these lightning-fast, super-saavy shredders and long for mature musicianship, rock solid, emotional melodies and... well, just great playing, then you're in for a treat with The Guitar Diaries. There's something for every taste on this album, with the emphasis slap-bang on melody, production, composition and evolving moods. With solid rocking support from powerhouse drummer, Peter Wildoer (Darkane/Electrocution 250) and bassist Joakim Attoff, we promise that this is one hell of a CD for Liquid Note Records to go out on!

News:
25-05-2008:

OK, what I can tell you is Gustavo Guerra won the final web count, with Matt Rach being a respectable second... a little further down the field, early front runner Chris Feener was finally overhauled by Fernando Miyata.

What I can't tell you is the final vote count! The web site went off line a little earlier than anticipated. However, it was clear that last minute voting from Gustavo Guerra's fan base, coupled with his appearences on TV in his native Brazil and his guitar sponsor adding a special promo on their web site...

This guy certainly has pulling power... now lets hope he's got the cash to get to London and complete the next step on the quest... play in front of a live audience and compete with 11 other super hot players to win the coveted first prize of opening for Joe Satriani!

James From All out Guitar says:

The site will come down at midnight and be back up again by 3pm UK time Sunday. We will be announcing the final 12 as soon as they confirm they can attend, but hopefully by Tuesday I would have thought. We will also be posting our staff and judges versions of some backing tracks over the coming weeks for you all to see - and boy is there some impressive playing coming up. We are fully aware of the moans and groans which will come our way from the final 12 choices, but there has been an awful lot of agreement on the top 12. Everyone who entered deserves a massive round of applause - we have 730 entries as of now, and i will be publishing them till close tonight. Te final 12 is not set in stone yet and if a monster turns up in the next few hours they can still win their place. I hope to see as many of you forum guys as possible down at the show, even if you do not make the final. we will also be announcing shortly the plan for the next idol comp. we are changing things as requested by you guys, and would like to invite you to let us know your constructive opinions and comments on the competition.

Also the figures for the guitar idol site have been phenomenal. A big round of applause to the tech guys who kept the site up and running! The google analytics web stats are amazing too. Since the March 21st, 2008 launch of the guitar idol web site there have been 322,676 Visits!!! Plus there have been 2,112,793 page views!

So look for the final load out, the top 12 which will be out some time early next week!
